Dr. Ohl
A native of Youngstown, Dr. Ohl graduated from Youngstown State University in 1996. He then went on to further his education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he received his dental degree in 2000. In 2001, he completed a one year General Practice Dental Residency at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Dr. Ohl began practicing in Canfield later in 2001. Dr. Ohl and Dr. Styka have together been providing comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry in their Canfield office since 2005. The services he provides include: Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, Partials, Dentures, Extractions, Crowns, Bridges, and Implants. He provides dental treatment to the whole family, adults and children alike. Dr. Ohl maintains staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center (formerly St. Elizabeth Hospital) where he serves as a faculty member in the residency program. He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Corydon Palmer Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He attends and completes numerous education programs yearly to ensure being up to date in all the latest technology and techniques. When he is out of the office, Dr. Ohl enjoys spending time with his wife Audrey and daughter Sadie, travelling, and following Ohio State athletics, particularly football.
Dr. Douglas Styka was born in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up on the west side of Youngstown, and graduated from Chaney High School. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Lock Haven University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1993. Upon graduation, Dr. Styka entered a General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth Medical Center (currently Mercy Health Center), and served as chief resident. He entered private practice in 1995. He joined teaching faculty at St. Elizabeth’s (Mercy) in 2000, and has served as Associate Program Director since 2006. He is a member of the Corydon Palmer Dental Society, ODA, ADA, and AGD. He is married to his wife Tracy, and he has two daughters, Jena and Erin. Dr. Styka and his family reside in Canfield.
